40th - Gaothis Harpy

So now I introduce you to Aello, Sauron's pet harpy. Sauron must be very happy to have a pet like her On the game, Sauron can date Aello.

Aello is one of the three high ranked harpy sisters, along with Celaeno and Ocypete. She followed Sauron when she saw him walking by the Harpy Loft. Curious of the weird stranger she followed him until Sauron gave her food and accidentally tamed her. The feathers on Aello's hand has the same color as her skin, while the other feathers are white.

This harpy is inspired from Megami Tensei IMAGINE MMO. According to the lore, Harpy is beautiful and lovely. However, usual harpy we see in games or fantasy novels are depicted ugly. MegaTen IMAGINE's version of harpy is very beautiful and cute, so I decided to take this concept and make all of female creatures in fiction Chronicles lovely. This includes the ever ugly Bansee (whose name means "woman of the faerie mound").

Technique used is VERY different from previous 40 arts. This time it's MANUAL shading instead of usual atuoshading. The vector dots is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAND... (all shadows were made using vectors).
